3. Open Job

To open a Job, you can either use the 'Open Job' button on the toolbar, or you can use the the menu option File/Open. If there is a job open, you will be prompted to save the current Job. A dialog box will then appear to allow you to locate the file or Job you wish to open.

You can open three types of files with GeoCadastre. The standard job will have a .acs extension. Older files which were created by the DOS version of Geocadastre have a .pts extension. Files which have been generated by the "Parcel Editor" in ArcMap will have a .xml extension. These should not be confused with LandXML files which are in a completely different format but have the same file extensionThe files displayed in the dialog box depend on the file extention you choose. Once the correct file is selected, click on the open button and the Job will be read into the program.
